Dinner discussion

A friend from Namibian came over for dinner in my kitchen, the kitchen one of my kitchen-mates from Kenya dubbed the Cafe. We spoke at great length about the issues of civil rights for LGBT people in Namibia.

He proposed something radical. The notion of doing activism, networking for the cause, as full-time job. I had never thought of that. In my view, each one of us can pursue a career in whatever field while still volunteering their time and effort to the cause for civil rights for LGBT people.
