Overhead at the Cancer Association of South Africa, Cape Town office

Librarian: Oh my friend also did her Masters in Public Health, right now she is doing her PhD.
Me: In what?
Librarian: Medical anthropology
Me: Oh interesting. Do you have any books , um on… the first AIDS cases in the US, they were known as gay cancer
Librarian: Yes I know, we don’t. But my friend is doing her research on MSM in Cape Town.
Me: Cool I should meet her.
[I am now working to push to finish a section for my own study on TB in adolescents, so I can meet this young lady. I guess as I understand what it means to be a researcher, I discover how much effort is spent on aiming to publish].
